Shop Updates
We've also added some new media to Warm N Cozy Quilting! Have you ever wanted to walk our shop but couldn't come in person? Maybe you want to see what kinds of things we offer before you hop in the car, or you'd like to show a friend or spouse what it's like to visit a quilt shop! Now, you can do a virtual walkthrough of our shop, right on our google listing! I have to admit, it is pretty fun to click around and see everything from all the different angles! Do note, this walkthrough was captured about a month ago, so many things pictured have already changed or are no longer in-stock. Speaking of new media, we have a new commercial airing on Fox 2 and KPLR 11 this month! We were also asked to come to the studio with our friends Chelsea Haynes and Tim Ezell for a segment on Remarkable Women in Business. It was an honor to be featured and to get a little time to brag on ourselves and everything we've grown over the years.
What this means for you is that Warm N Cozy Quilting is expanding it's reach! You may have noticed we also have been vending at local shows and events as well. We love getting new faces in the door, giving tours, and making sure the community knows we are here! It's been so great to meet so many new friends as we continue to connect to the wonderful quilting community.
New Fabric, New Clearance
We have been getting in so much fabric lately! Many new lines have arrived including a bunch of new blenders from Andover Fabrics, as well as a few brand new print collections from other fabric distributors. Because of this, we've had to move a ton of bolts to our clearance section. Most of our clearance is priced at $9-$7/yard! There are SEW many reasons to come in and see us, but new fabrics and great deals are some of the best reasons to stop in! Make It MerryHave you seen our latest Block of the Month? It begins in May and only has a few spots left!
Marcus Fabrics and Lamb Farm Designs Make it Merry Block of the Month features a classic holiday motif. It's cheery, oversized wreath motif is pieced from the green prints in the collection, with red print accents and bow. The cream prints in the group and used to frame the wreath, allowing it to float beautifully within the borders. The fabric collection's swirling poinsettias, classic holly berries, and sweet sprigs in vintage-inspired colors add cozy nostalgia to your holiday decor!
This block of the month features a mix of block styles throughout, for a fun and festive holiday sampler with a timely completion of October! Registration: $10 Reoccuring EventsShow N Tell
Each Saturday, we will film a live video for our Facebook page and our YouTube channel. We reserve the last Saturday to cover our monthly mystery quilt, and to show off all the projects our community has worked on. Don't worry! You won't need to get on camera at all to participate. We will show your project, share whatever information you'd like us to about making it, and the rest of the participants (lovingly called our live studio audience) will oooh and ahhh over it. It can be really nice to share your work with people who understand the craft - especially the work and expense that goes in to it. It does not have to be a quilt. It does not have to be finished. It doesn't even have to be a complete project. We have seen bags, coats, quilts, quilt blocks, and more! Because this is broadcast live online, we do not allow any late entry. Our doors will be open between 9:15am - 9:28am to let our audience come in and get settled before we start. Can't make it in to join us in person? Join our Facebook Group called The Quilters Collective. We admin this group specifically as a way to connect quilters. Show off your work, seek advice, and lend your encouragement and expertise to others! QOV Meetings
Did you know we host a monthly meeting for our local chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation, Stars of Honor? We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6pm, here at Warm N Cozy Quilting. Our next meeting will be held on May 8th. You do not need to be a member, but of course we can answer any questions you may have about membership, donations, and all the ways you can get involved. Join us to help cover our service members touched by war with a quilt. All Quilts of Valor quilts are completely made possible by volunteers time and donations. Unable to make the meeting, or want to learn more? Check out QOVF.org! HandiQuilter EventAre you interested in learning about Longarming? We have the event for you!
