Amara ST Rental

The HandiQuilter Amara ST is a great stationary long arm machine for those who enjoy free motion quilting or quilting with rulers. 

Gloves
We ask that you bring quilting gloves to assist in gripping your project when quilting. We do have gloves for sale if needed.

Thread
If you choose to not use our Omni threads, we require thread pre-approval before each rental session.

Training Class
We require that you take our Longarm Certification Class prior to signing up to rent time on this machine.  This will cover everything you need to get started on the machine and confidently begin quilting. We will also be available throughout your session should you have questions or need guidance.

Recommendations

• Review the packet and any notes prior to renting.
• Have your quilt sandwich basted prior to arriving. 
• Have a design in mind, and plan out the quilting path you intend to take with your quilt.  
• Plan ahead to make full use of the time frame in which you have been scheduled.   

Stationary Machine Fee Schedule

Deposit due at time of scheduling quilting session      Deposit will be applied to your quilting session	$30
Initial Training     4-hour Longarm Certification Course	$60
2-Hour Quilting Session (minimum)	$30
Hourly Rate after 2-Hour Minimum	$15
All Day Session      Tuesday through Friday will be 6 hours      Saturday will be 5 hours	$75
Overage of Scheduled Session	$20 per half hour

Rental includes:

• 1 bobbin for use during session. If different thread colors are used, it will be required to purchase additional bobbins.
• Use of our rulers and specialty feet
• New, appropriate gauge needle to begin your project. Your new needle will be installed at the start of each session by a qualified Warm N Cozy technician

Training includes:

• Basic operation of the machine
• Operation of the bobbin winder
• Tension adjustment
• Threading the machine
• Proper bobbin case installation
• Oiling the machine
• Discuss the importance of a square backing
• Thread basics
• Quilting Sessions
  
  • New, appropriate gauge needle to begin your project. Your new needle will be installed at the start of each session by a qualified Warm N Cozy technician

Additional Costs 

• $5 for use of our stock of Omni threads. If you prefer, you may bring or purchase a different thread to use instead.
• $100.00 per broken needle.
